A case AMTO v. Ukraine was presented at the international arbitration conference in Brussels
Dmitry Grischenko made a presentation, prepared jointly with Sergey Voitovich, (law firm Grischenko & Partners) on the arbitration case AMTO v.Ukraine at the international conference in Brussels on the energy dispute resolution.
It took place on October 22-23, 2009. Counsel to Ukraine was opposing at the conference to counsel to AMTO Professor Kaj Hober of law firm Mannheimer Swartling. This was the third conference hosted by the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) Secretariat in conjunction with the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, the ICSID, the ICC and some other institutions. AMTO was the first arbitration under the ECT won in 2008 by a respondent State. The amount of claim exceeded 20 million euro. Grischenko & Partners jointly with Proxen & Partners acted as co-counsel to Ukraine in this case. The presentations of the participants of the conference will be published by Juris Publishing, Inc.
